The Danish Consul is impressed over Prisoner Camilla Broe's release

06:33 - 27 Feb. 2010 Carsten Norten

MIAMI (Ekstra Bladet): - "There has been an extraordinary effort to get Camilla out today," said the Danish consul in Miami, Jon Rosenthal to Ekstra Bladet, as the Danish woman stepped out from the airport as a free woman. Rosenthal has worked throughout Friday on all the details required for her release, and early evening local time, the effort paid off. "There were many pieces that had to all come together," he said of the process, in which the Foreign Ministry and the Danish Consulate General in New York have also helped from Danish side. "It looked for a long time like it would not happen, and Camilla would spend the weekend in jail. Both the U.S. Marshal's supervisors and immigration authorities have been involved and there has been great assistance from both sides," explains Rosenthal, who is glad that he finally managed to get Broe out before the weekend.
